 Blog 02: Adjusted Profile Picture

This week's blog post focuses on adjustment layers. For this project, we were to adjust the layers of one of our own photos.

1. Original Image

I chose this photo of myself, this is the original image before I made any edits. I chose this picture because I thought I could play around with the background.

2. Final Photo

This is my final photo! I think it turned out pretty good, I really like how to purple/blue background looks with my green sweater. I think that the background makes me stand out in this image.

3. Screenshot

After putting my photo into Adobe Photoshop I knew I wanted to focus on the background of the image, not myself. First I made a new adjustment layer, then I went to Hue/Saturation and began my adjustments. Hue/Saturation changed all the color levels in the image. I had to go in with the black paintbrush tool so that I could change the color of my sweater, pants, boots, and skin tone back to their original colors.

4. Final Thoughts

I enjoyed doing this project. It was very interesting to learn how to make adjustments to your photos using Hue/Saturation. I am happy I got to learn more about Adobe Photoshop. I hope that you enjoyed my second blog post!
